Good Day,

Does your computer doesn't sound at all? I mean, aside from Prison Tycoon 3, does other programs/applications doesn't have sound? If does the problem is in your computer. The first thing you should do is to know the model of your motherboard or the model of your sound card if you are using a sound card. Then you can the search sound driver on the web.
 
If Prison Tycoon 3 is the only program that doesn't have sound, then the problem is with the Prison Tycoon 3. Try to check in the settings of the game maybe the volume is just lowered. If not, try re-installing the game.

I don’t think there is a need to download a specific audio driver for Prison Tycoon 3. The game works on all kinds of soundcards and it will work as long as your soundcard works. If you are having a problem with the audio when playing the game, try updating your soundcard’s driver. To update your soundcard’s driver for users running Windows XP, right-click My Computer then select Properties.

Select Hardware tab, click Device Manager, and expand “Sound, video and game controllers”. Right-click your soundcard and select Update Driver. Follow the succeeding instructions after that. See image.

Windows will inform you if it was able to find an available update for your driver. Another way is to visit the official home page of your soundcard. If you are experiencing issues while playing the game, make sure your operating system is supported. Prison Tycoon 3: Lockdown supports Windows XP and Windows Vista only.

If you are running Windows 7 or maybe Windows 8, the game will not work. The game doesn’t require high-end video card because it only requires 64 MB of video RAM. I’m sure you won’t have any problem with your soundcard since all soundcards support 16-bit. If you are still experiencing problems, try reinstalling the game.
