Printshop 22 compatibility issues with Windows 7

Hello All,

I run into this error message while trying to install PrintShop 22 into my laptop using windows 7, 64 bit version. The program compatibility assistant informs me that the application requires .NET Framework 1.1 to install. Following this direction, I had the .NET framework installed on my system. Then I attempted installing the program again. But even now I get a message reporting compatibility issues between windows 7, 64 bit and Printshop 22. Now I am confused, was it only this .NET framework that is missing or am I wasting my time attempting to install incompatible software on my computer? Does anyone know if it is possible to run Printshop 22 on windows 7? Please help. If so what else could be causing this issue? Kindly let me know if there is a patch or workaround to fix this. Thanks a million to whoever helps me.

Printshop 22 compatibility issues with Windows 7

You can download and install the latest version of Microsoft .NET Framework that supports x64 Microsoft Windows 7 but you can only do this if the program is not tied to a specific .NET version. But after checking Print Shop 22, I learned that this program is tied to Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and will not work on other version.

If you haven’t installed Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 yet, install it on your computer. When the Program Compatibility Assistant appears like in the image you attached, click “Run program”. See image.

Once Microsoft .NET Framework is installed, the Program Compatibility Assistant will now say that there are compatibility issues running Print Shop 22 on 64-bit Windows 7. Select “Run program”. After that, download and install the Windows Vista patch from Windows Vista Compatibility Patch. Even if the patch can be installed on x64 Windows 7, still the problem with the Amyuni Document Converter can’t be fixed by the patch though it will if you have x86 Windows 7.

Because of this, you will not be able to use the option Save As PDF. If you’ll try to use this option, you will see one or all of the following error messages. See image.

Visit Save As PDF to learn the alternative method how you can print to PDF. Also, if you are having a problem installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 on your 64-bit Windows 7, visit Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1.
