Try to check if there is any torn paper still tacked inside the printer. Sometimes when we print and we encounter a paper jam, we absent-mindedly just pull out the jammed paper. It is possible that upon pulling out of the paper, part of it got caught inside the printer. Check also the gears that are used to drive the rollers of the printer because even a very small foreign object can cause error in printing. Another possibility is that the paper sensor flag of the printer might have been stumbled upon. This sensor flag prompts a cue for the printing process. If the sensor flag has been tripped then it gives an error in printing.

Hello Lisette,

A torn small piece of paper might be still inside the computer, which could have remained there when you were trying to get it unjammed. So you will need to get a flashlight and then check for any traces of a torn paper in the printer and remove it. In case you cannot see it, you will need to check the sensor areas of the computer.

Note that the sensors differ for each computer. When the paper is fed to the printer, it usually goes past a wheel that is pushed slightly up to allow the computer to know what stage the printer is at as it is printing the job. In case that wheel gets stuck, you will need to unstick it or clean it to  avoid getting such an error.

Regards,

Carl
