Premiere Pro CS5 installation problem

I installed Adobe Master Collection CS5 in my Mac Book Pro (OSX 10.5) that contained Premiere Pro CS5. However I am experiencing problems with the Premiere Pro CS5. The problem is that the Premiere Pro CS5 does not appear on my applications list. I tried correcting the problem by doing the following: uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Master Collection CS5, installing Premiere Pro CS5 on its own and running Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool. All this was in vain as the problem persisted. When installing Premiere Pro CS5 on its own, Bridge and Encore were also installed. At one time I had installed Premiere CS4. It however is no longer installed. Furthermore, I have since changed my hard drive. Is there anybody in this forum who has an idea what is causing my problem? What do I need to do?

The installer you might be using might be the one with problems. It may not be having all the adobe packages that you need to install on your computer, and then you might want to get another setup or get install each application separately. But before you resort to use another setup, I will suggest that you do the following:

  • On your computer, go to the control panel and remove all the programs installed by the adobe master collection.
  • Get the adobe master collection setup and run it.
  • During the installation steps, you should be keen and see if you come across a step that requires you to check which applications you want to install. Make sure you check all that you want.
  • And then see if you can after that see them in the programs list.
