I am using a laptop with the following system: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I was working on an application in PowerPoint and the following message appeared I even searched the applications event log but everything seems to be just fine. Is there anyone that can tell me his recommendation?

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect

C:program files (x86)AMDAMD Demo – MechaMecha_D3D11.exe

PowerPoint application error with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Hi Mikey,

The error message appears because of the incomplete setup of your Mecha application. Possibly it has been infected with the virus. You should scan your computer with your anti-virus and always enable your firewall. If you want to retain the executable file in your desktop, you should reinstall the file itself thus deleting the current version. If you want to remove the file, delete the file in your Control Panel and continue using the PowerPoint.

Hope this helps.
