PowerArchiver problems after reinstalling WinXP

I always use backup for files. For that purpose I am using PA. Due to some problems I encountered with my system I reinstalled Windows XP in my pc. I also downloaded the latest version of PA (12.01).

And for Legacy license I got a new registration code. After that I got some problems with my backup scripts. I also changed some scheduled tasks, but PA’s backup editor opens when a script starts. I need to run my scripts separately.

So, I’m in need of some help.  Thanks in advance.

Try uninstalling and then reinstalling PowerArchiver. This will fix any corrupted files on the installation of PowerArchiver and restore its settings back to default including some of the settings that you might have customized.

If this still does not work, try checking your computer for any possible errors. Use a disk utility application to check the system. For a much thorough diagnostics on the system, use a disk utility application like PC Tools Performance Toolkit, Norton SystemWorks, or Norton Utilities.

Any errors in the hard drive’s file system can cause applications to function differently and some installations to go wrong that sometimes lead to an incomplete installation. There are also instances where corrupted files developed during the installation.
