Hi,

I have an ASUS 24X B1ST DVD writer. Recently I am using “Moser baer” for writing media. But the problem is I have got power calibration error in 3 Disk in a 10 Disk cake box. I am using Nero Burning Rom for writing.

Those disks are useless now. So what is the problem then?

When a company makes a disk it has some default category. At first they must follow some instructions like firmware, quality etc. Power calibration is one of them. It is a process to check a disk condition if it is ok or not.

Most company saves some space where the burning tools write some data first to check that if the disk condition is ok. After writing there it verify the written data. If they are ok it proceeds to write on that disk.

But sometimes it cant write there or can’t read the data there. This type of error is called power calibration error. There are some solutions for it.

1. You can upgrade your Drives firmware so that if any upgrade can solve this problem.

2. You can change your Optical Drive and buy a new one.

3. And you can try to change you media brand. You can buy Verbatim and try to check that if there is any problem or not.
