I have PotPlayer installed on Windows 7 and there is always a playback error with the image shown below. Experts, can you help me understand why such an error occurs because I have been using PotPlayer for some time now.

Error image:

Runtime Error!

Program:….Files (x86)LAV Filtersx86PotPlayerPotPlayerMini.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application’s support team for more information.

Hello Chester,

This is the problem of either your Visual C++ Runtime or your program.

Download the latest version of PotPlayer. Remove the old version and install the latest one. The latest one will come with many bugs fixed.

If the problem still continues, it is the problem of Visual C++ Runtime. If the runtime gets corrupted, it starts showing the problem.

Download the latest one from here. Don’t forget to uninstall the old one first.

Hi,

I've read several issues on Potplayer and found out that it's somehow vulnerable to infectious worms and trojans. To verify, go to Task Manager > Processes and then search for PotPlayer.exe. If there are lots of instances of PotPlayer consuming 100% of the system's entire process, then that's a good indicator that it's risky. Enable anti-virus and scan in safe mode.

After scanning, launch the program again.

If this does not resolve the problem, reinstall components of the C++ library. Check Microsoft website for the updated version of the library.
