Postini did not perform spool on the time set

Hi, I am using Postini Message Filtering at present and I have the suitable MX records (and the MX records) functional to my domain identity.  A recent internet-related outage for some hours resulted to some lost emails and I found out that spooling did not happen even though it was arranged to do so.  Now I am wondering why Postini did not routinely do this.  I have not any kind of internet connectivity on my server during the time when the internet connection was down so I know that it had not reset the default 15-minute timer.  Can somebody explain why this happened and how it can be avoided in the future? Thank you so much.

See if there is any spam attack in your mail box. There is a chance that the domain you are using is not fully protected against the virus’s attacks and that you have to look for it.

There is no other way to avoid this situation except for the fact that you have to make a backup of the emails or save the emails on to your computer by downloading them. It is a pretty old school method but it works in cases like this where spooling can’t help you recover the lost mails.

For further improvement, implement a virus protection program to the domain so that no more attacks or malicious virus can harm your mails.
