Its not necessary to use window media player, While playing video's or audio , You can try out other 3rd party unpaid software, With good interface and good video and audio quality, Now solution to your window media player problem is to troubleshoot, few things, like check file type,is it compatible with media player ? perform virus scan. If the problem is still there look for another software like, VLC, etc.
