I have more than 40 computers connected to the network on my dormitory house. We used unmanageable switch to connect all of computers.

We have planned to upgrade using router. We think about using mikrotik or juniper router. What are pros and cons of each?

Pros and cons of Mikrotik and Juniper router is hard to distinguished, not unless you have experienced these equipment by yourself. I myself, I haven't tried it yet.

I have Mikrotik router back then, the features and the stability of Internet access is good. I would rate it high as 9 out 10. This type of router and all standard router's available in the market have the same in common.

This can be configure using DHCP, Static, PPOE. It does have port forwarding and other features needed to set-up networking.

For Juniper router, I haven't have this router yet ever, but as I've research long and hard enough to get information, this router is pretty standard in terms of quality. It does have all features that other router has.

The Pros and Cons might be on the price and other Wi-Fi ability, might not send stronger signal compare to Mikrotik, but take not, I haven't tried Juniper router yet. But good thing about this router is made and manufactured by CISCO, the company known for quality.
