Playing .voc files that are compressed gives an incompatible error.

I recently bought a dell studio with i5 and windows 7.

The voc player plays the uncompressed files just fine but I am having trouble playing .voc files that are compressed.

I tried playing around with the driver but nothing has helped so far.

Do I need a separate software or it is just the sound card problem?

Hi,

First of all, you won't be able to use a compressed file unless you uncompressed it. The purpose of compressing files is to make the file size smaller compared to the usual. This makes downloading and uploading easier.

To solve your problem, you will need a software that can uncompressed files. You can try WinRAR or Winzip. You may download them from the links below. For Winrar, just get the trial version.

Even if the trial period is over, you will still be able to use it.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
