Permanently deleted some important files, any help?

Hello

I have Windows XP. I was attempting to fresh out my pc for more hard drive space, so I was removing information I believed I didn't need in my Program Files. I have a practice of removing by using SHIFT+DELETE, which completely removes the pc file without submitting it to the Bin. So I went into a directory called "Bin" and removed a lot of what I believed was garbage (weird pc file names). I also removed other things I believed were insignificant. Now I can no longer publish information, send information, or view video clips in my WMP.

One more issue is there. It also sometimes gives me one message saying “Ms Windows has to close”. I was watching My Computer when it happened, and when I visited more info. It said that I was losing an Internet Method (IP). How I can get it back? Can anyone please inform me what I am ignoring here? Any suggestion will be much appreciated.

There is two ways to solve this problem. You can use file recovery software like Recuva to recover your deleted files. But this program only recovers files in good condition and you have to know what deleted files causing problems.

The best way to solve this is to repair your Windows XP files.  You should have a Windows XP installation CD in order to repair Windows. First insert the XP CD and boot from it (press any key to boot from CD) and press Enter in the next step occurs. Then press F8 in the next step and then press R in the next window to start the repair process. Then your system will be repaired and enter the CD key and other information in the relevant steps.

Accidentally, you had deleted some important Windows Files. You can either restore your system to any previously known good conditions or can repair Windows. Follow the steps of above post to repair your Windows.

Let us know about how you are doing with your problem.

Thanks

As you were removing files simultaneously, you accidentally removed some important system files that are associated with other programs and causing it to stop working properly. Try to perform a System Restore to go back to the last point where your system was properly working. If you do not have a restore point, insert your Windows Recovery disk and then try to repair it. You can also try to run check disk as it can also help in repairing bad sectors, lost clusters, directory errors and more.

That error you are getting is the result of the files you removed. If you deleted files from “C:\Program Files” or “C:\Program Files (x86)” manually and intentionally, you might have just damaged some of the installed applications. This folder contains all the installation folders of your programs.

If you need to remove a particular application because you no longer need it, the right way to do it is to uninstall it. You don’t delete a folder or files from that location, you uninstall them. If your operating system or Microsoft Windows is behaving differently after what you did, try using the System File Checker utility.

Press the Windows key + R to bring up the “Run” dialog then type without quotes “sfc /scannow” then hit Enter. Insert your Windows setup CD or DVD when you are prompted then continue. Wait until it is complete then restart the computer. If there are programs that no longer run, you just need to reinstall them to fix the problem.
