We’re using PEM 7.3. I would like to edit the URL notification of end-user and change it to an external IP of our mail server instead of the internal DNS. How would I do that?

Dear Ms. Mash Teenie,

Yes. You can edit the URL notification of end-user into external IP address. Please follow the below mentioned steps to do that. Before that please make sure you have configured the firewall to allow the traffic on these ports.

1. Open the configuration Tool in PEM.

2. You find the Notification button in that. Click it.

3. In that you can find the Server option.

4. Change the name of the server into an external IP address which you want.

Hope this will help to resolve your issues.

Disregard the previous message. I have found out how to change the server name in the URL to an IP address. For anyone else who needs it, you first need to open up the PEM Configuration Tool, then click the Notifications button. Under Server, change the server name to an appropriate external IP address, and ensure that your firewall is set to allow traffic over the appropriate ports.
