PDF Tool 4.0 shows error

Hi,

I am using PDF Tools 4.0 to merge, split, encrypt, decrypt or delete PDF pages. Once I open PDF file that I would like to perform any of these tasks, I am getting an error message as shown below. I would like some help on how I can solve this error.

Error: [PDF Structure 35} Reference table (xref)not found.

The file you are using may be broken. First you have to check your file. Newer version of Adobe Acrobat opens the file but will notify user to save the file (even if you have not make any changes/modifications in file).  PDF-XChange viewer supports the broken pdf files. I think xcpro library is included in it.
