Hi. To learn how to get rid of a firewall, select the exit or disable option after right-clicking on the icon of the firewall. If you are using Windows XP, click on start menu, then click on Run and type appwiz.cpl in the window that appears. Next, click on enter. Then, from the installed programs, click on the program which needs to be uninstalled and then select the remove option. Once, the program has been removed, start the computer again. However, if you are using Mac, then, open the system preferences menu first following which click on security. Then go to the tab named firewall and then click on the icon on the bottom of the page and enter the password when asked for. Click on the stop button to turn off the firewall and also keep in mind that the firewall is turned off only for the time when you are at your home. Hope we helped.
