I just bought my computer few weeks ago. It has P8Z68-V Pro BIOS 0501. Just today, upon boot-up, I noticed that there are 3 logos of ASUS on  my startup screen. And also, in ASUS EFI BIOS EZ Mode, there is a failure in my  CHA_FAN monitor. I searched online for possible solution and I found out that there is already an update for 0501. The update is P8Z68 –V Pro BIOS 0606. Now, what I want to know is will it resolve my problem if I run the update? I don’t want to make my problem worse so I need to ask first for details about the update. Can someone please send me some help. Thank you.

Actually doing the bios upgrade is good since it will refresh all of your settings in your pc. And in doing the upgrade it will also refresh all your spyware and adware settings including the firewall, anti-virus and disk scanner. It will also allow you to do these settings and refresh all of them. By doing these changes your computer will be safe from viruses, malware and adware. So when you do these settings they prevent your computer from getting corrupted plus you get a higher chance of safety for your computer and all your programs will be protected and shielded from viruses.

I do not think there will any harm in doing a BIOS upgrade for your system, because upgrading it will improve the performance of your system, by replacing old system settings with fresh new ones that have added functionality and are meant to make your system perform efficiently.

You can choose to do the upgrade online, and that way you have to make sure that your computer is connected to the internet for it to search for the right BIOS updated drivers and install them. Also, you can choose to look for the BIOS specifications and download the packages and just install them by running the setup on your computer.
