I greet everyone at TechyV!

I can't find any resource on the Web for this weird string of numbers regarding the Outlook.exe entry point. This error comes up every time I open MS Outlook 2003. Any ideas that will help fix this? Thanks so much for your expertise.

Error:

The procedure entry point ?SetOnOppOpenCallback@CWBtAPI@@QAEAW4WBtRc@@P6AXPAXJQAEJJ@Z0@A could not be located in the dynamic link library btwapi.dll

Hello Marie,

Well this error can be a part of your SQL Server. Have you installed any SQL Application in your PC or are you accessing SQL on any server somewhere? If yes than this can be the cause of the error. Also a friend of mine did face the same problem two weeks ago. But finally he got it sorted out by updating some files through Windows Update. So I would also suggest you to run Windows Update and check for all the files. Am sure this will work. Good Luck,

Thanks!!

Hi MarieAC,

There are chances that file ‘btwapi.dll’ is corrupted or having bug.

‘btwapi.dll’is a system file so you must know which system file is leading to this issue and remove it through scan.

To find a system file causing issues you shall use System File Checker Tool (SFC.exe) which will scan your all system files and to scan here is how you do it –

A. Start/All programs/Accessories/right-click on Command Prompt/Click Run as administrator.

B. If password is set as administrator, enter the password or else just allow.

C. At the Command Prompt (See photo below), type “sfs/scannow” and enter. Scan will start. I think you should not have any problems then.
