Outlook Express Unable to start the program

Microsoft outlook express is the email client that I have been using from long. When I try to start Outlook express on my PC today I got an error message.

Below is the screen shot for all your reference.

Outlook Express

Unable to start the program. One of the required components may be busy or missing. Please check your installation and try again.

This error started occurring after I installed Network Associates International's Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) program on my Windows XP machine.

Has this anything to do with the PGM or something with the settings?

Hello, the issue occurs because you are running a PGP program, PGP actually is not compatible with the Outlook Express, now to resolve this issue you will have to uninstall the PGP and then reinstall Outlook Express version 5. You can also visit the website for more information to resolve this issue:

https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH148871.html

After the installation of PGP program, take note the plug-in is listed in items and in the Add/Remove Programs in the control panel.

If you like to make sure that PGP is installed, you might check it in the PGPmsimm.exe file: To do that:

Click the start button, > FIND and click the Files and folders, in the box type pgpmsimm.exe,  click the local hard drives and find. Hope this will help.
