Hi,

I would like to configure OUTLOOK ANYWHERE IN EXCHANGE 2003.

We have Exchange 2003 in windows Cluster mode.  Can you suggest me how to configure outlook anywhere in Exchange 2003 cluster mode?

Also,  Is SSL certificate is mandatory to get it installed?  Is any temporary SSL certificate can be generated to furnish the installation testing for the time being?

Thanks & Best regards, Bipin

I don't think there is an different approach for clustered and non-clustered Exchange environments.

Different setup's for FE and non-FE based Exchange designs.

Basic configuring Outlook Anywhere.

You can test with this.

SSL certificates are needed. You can get away with only using a signed cert from your CA in AD, but external users will get the message saying that the certificate is not valid.

You are using RPC over https and yes certificate is mandatory do you have internal CA ?

Implementing RPC over HTTPS in a single Exchange Server 2003 environment.

Start Windows Small Business Server 2003 and run an email configuration and the Internet Connection Wizard. Then, follow these steps:
a) Click start -> Server Manager.
b) Click To Do List -> Click Connect to the internet.
c) Specify your connection type, DNS server, and router.
d) Go to the web service configuration page.
e) Select Outlook via the Internet, and check 'allow access to only the following web site services' from the Internet.
f) Click Next.
g) Go to the Web Server Certificate page, select your type, and click next.
h) You can choose to install a new server.
i) Configure your email profile.
j) Test RPC for XP client.
I hope this helps.
