Why is OS X Yosemite not running on my mac laptop? I have been trying to install OS X Yosemite on my mac laptop but the installation always fails. My mac laptop meet all the OS X Yosemite recommended system requirement. What could be preventing the OS from running? How can I fix this issue?

Hello,

The installer you downloaded may have been corrupted during the download process. Try downloading it once more. Another option is to “clean” your system through standard maintenance. Fix corrupted and “rotten” files. Defragment. Then attempt the install. Also, if you are installing on a machine that is not registered or associated with your ID, you may need to wipe the machine and use your registered copy of the old OS for install prior to upgrading.

If this does not solve your issue, perhaps recent hardware modifications are the issue. You may need to revert to the original hardware prior to upgrading.
