Hello,

Sounds like you’ve got some problem with the temporary file folder in your system. Your “SYSTEM” must be allowed to have the full access to the folder presented on your error message to run the installation perfectly.

1. Browse for the following folder:
C:UsersmaestroAppDataLocal

2. Right-click on “Temp” folder >> select “Properties”.

3. Open “Security” tab.

4. From “Group or user names” box, select “SYSTEM”.

5. Under the box, click “Edit”.

6. Select “SYSTEM” from upper box and tick “Full control”.

7. Press Apply >> OK.

Now, your problem should disappear.

If you are installing VirtualBox on Windows 8 or Windows 10, make sure you are installing the latest version. Try downloading the latest version again from Oracle VirtualBox. One reason for that is when you are installing the version that still doesn’t support Windows 8 or Windows 10. Downloading the latest version ensures you will be installing the version that supports Windows 8 and Windows 10.

The latest version at the moment, VirtualBox 5.2, supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 RTM build 10240 both 32-bit and 64-bit including 64-bit Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows Server 2016 host operating systems.

Guest operating systems supported include Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including Windows Server 2003.
