I have removed Oracle 11g Database last year and when I want to reinstall it again this error message appear. How can I solve this error ? Is there a way to fix this without reinstall my Windows or Oracle ?
Thank you experts !
Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Installer – Installing database – Step 8 of 12
[INS-32025] The chosen installation conflicts with software already installed in the given Oracle home
Oracle Database error stopped at step 8 of 12
If you already removed it before but when you need to install it again it turns out that the Oracle Database 11g is still installed. Maybe when you removed it before it only removed a portion of it and the other part is still installed and running on your computer and you are no longer aware of it because you know you already uninstalled it.
Another possible reason why it happened is if you didn’t use the Deinstallation Tool that came with Oracle Database 11g. Oracle recommends that beginning in Oracle Database 11g Release 2 [11.2] [R2], users should use the deinstallation tool to uninstall the entire Oracle home associated with the Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, Oracle Clusterware, Oracle ASM, or Oracle Database client installation.
