At first login to the MSN Messenger, go to the option called ‘add contact’.
Click on it and provide your desired person’s information there.
Now search and add him to your contact list.

Searching for a screen name in your contact MSN messenger contact list is very easy.
All you have to do is to log in on your MSNÂ and you will see the messenger live window on the screen.
As you can see on the image above, there is a search field right below your profile picture.
You can just type there the screen name that you assigned to a member of your contact list and it should automatically pull up the picture and the name of the person you are looking for.
