First of all, what is OS or what we call the Operating System, this are programs that take in charge of the computer’s functions. This operating system is inside the systems software specifications like the controlling of execution of the open programs on the device, the communication with the divergent  inputs software and hardware including the terminals and lastly, the use of the space allotted in the memory and some resources of the computer. OS is also the one that takes control of the system of the computer. It helps the computer to work well. Several of these classifications contain the OS/2 and also the IBM PCs.

An operating system or an OS is a program that runs and controls all the functionalities of a computer. It is the main thing that makes a computer work and basically its main purpose is to really make the machine work and run as what it is designed for. This is the very first program that starts when a computer boots to prepare all devices attached to the computer for use.

Without it actually, a computer is useless because there is nothing that will instruct the computer on what to do. Without it, no drivers will be loaded for the attached devices so a user can use it. Without it, you can not use and install any software. It is the base program needed to install other applications or software. To make it simple, it is the principal program that controls and manages all the mechanisms, devices, and overall functions of a computer.
