I want to know about Windows Derver standard.What is the difference between Windows Server standard vs. data center? Are they technically identical? How many versions of Windows Server 2012 available?

Yes, Windows Server 2012 data center and Standard are technically same. They have same technical capabilities. They both differ in virtualization rights included along with the license. There are two VM's for Standard and no limit for Data center. If you are interested in virtualization, you should go for data center. There is a license for Data Center.
