Has there been a time that OfficeScan is unable to query a Domain Controller in an Active Directory during the initial configuration? If so, what happens then? Will there be faulty security? Please answer.
OfficeScan unable to query a Domain Controller in Active Directory
In the support page of trendmicro webpage, under the initial setup and maintenance of the Active Directory groups in OfficeScan. An answer to the question: "What happens when OfficeScan is unable to query a Domain Controller during the initial configuration?" is: When the OfficeScan server is unable to query the Domain Controller and synchronize the Active Directory; the web console will display the "Failed" status for Active Directory synchronization. The detailed information will be logged in the OfficeScan system event log. The only difference is that the previous tree will be kept. OfficeScan will not remove the tree under some error situations.
