Office 2013 Cannot connect to Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Hi Experts,

I installed Office 2013 Preview, Windows 8 RTM and Synamics CRM 2011 outlook. I think everything was ok.

But during on-line organization setting I found the error message

Cannot connect to Microsoft Dynamics cRM Server because we cannot authenticate your credentials.

Check your connection or contact your administrator for more help”.

I do not understand the error message.

Please help me.

Hello Abram,

  • You might have removed the Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant. 
  • You will also need to check the time on the computer and make sure that it has been set correctly.
  • Also, check the time zone setting and ensure that it is correct. In case you are more than a few minutes off, then that is what is hindering the configuration process.

Hi Abram,

      The error only means that your Windows Live ID is not verified, there are a lot option to go about resolving this error:

  1.  You have to complete the process to successfully configure your CRM Client for Outlook.  
  2. Restart the Windows Live ID in Services.msc.
  3. If you got errors with restarting the service you refresh install Windows Live.
  4. Enable the windows feature Windows Identity Foundation 3.5, then restart computer after the process then try to log in again.
