While installing Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus I received an error message. Have a look at the screenshot. It is indicating something regarding Office 2003. But I removed Office 2003 long time ago. If you have any idea to solve the problem, please help.

Before you installing Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus you did not proceed until even a small component of Microsoft Office 2003 remains installed on your Pc, you need to check back carefully and remove every office component as well as tool,program, every thing related to Office 2003 then you should be able to install Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus.

The cause of you problem is that, when you uninstall the Microsoft office 2003 all its software component or components are not completely removed from the system. Those left components are still running in your system. That’s why an error message prompts you while you are attempting to install the Microsoft 2010 Pro version in your PC. Remedy for this, check the folder of Microsoft office 2003 in the program files of your PC if still exist. If still exist, uninstall it using the Add/Remove Program.

The Error About which you are telling is not a big problem. When you uninstalled 2003 at the time it leaves some of the registry files or some tools or something related to Microsoft office 2003. which is making a problem for you and you can't run setup of 2010. Its a little bit long process i m going to tell you just install Microsoft office 2003 again and then uninstall it with the help of your installation CD. Then run setup of Microsoft office 2010. If the problem persist then install again Microsoft office 2003 and run setup of Microsoft office 2010. It will upgrade your Microsoft office 2003 to 2010.
