Hi, I am using windows OS in my Compaq CQ 42 laptop. But recently I have got a problem in my Nvidia Graphic Card which is showing ERROR 10 in the device manager though I have formatted the laptop lately. I didn’t find an answer of this problem in the forums. Want to have some suggestion from you for solving this issue. Thanks.

The Code 10 Error in device manger is shown when the device manager can not start the hardware device. This situation arises mainly due to the corrupted or outdated drivers being installed. Moreover the same error is also generated when the device manger doesn’t understand the error generated from the device. But if we stick to first option then you must download latest drivers for your NVIDIA card from their official site http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html.

Do try the Compaq support site to find the company preferred drivers other wise use the generic drivers from the site mentioned before. After that do a complete reboot for the new settings to be enabled.
