Numbers appear when typing alphabets on a laptop keyboard

I bought a new netbook aspire d257 and i am exploring it i misplace my user guide manual, I want to disable numbers appear

When i type the letters j,k,l and etc.

How would i do it?

Hello,

To disabled Letters J,K and L in your laptop and activate number, the steps below is the procedure.

ALT Code keys and input.
Enabled NUM Lk, press Fn and Scr Lk key.
Hold down the ALT key.
Type Alt code of symbols on Keyboard.
Release all the keys.
For those of you that don't have Key Pad, try [FN] + [F11] it may open a calculator-like keypad.

You have accidentally switched to NumberLock option, which invokes NumPad on the Keyboard.
Just Click Fn+F11, it'll invoke Alphabetics. You'll be able to type as you like in ABC Mode. If you want to switch back to Numbers just Click Fn+F11.
Also go through your Keyboard, there are keys which have two options, One is mentioned in White Color (normal mode) and other in Blue, whose features can be invoked by Clicking Fn+ respective Key.
