Hi there,

When I want to open Norton I have this error on my desktop. I made a full install of Norton and now it says that something is missing. Does anyone experienced this before ? How can I skip this error and run Norton properly ?

Thank you experts !

That’s unusual. If Norton 360 is installed and still running properly, I don’t think this error will happen. It is possible that your installation has already a problem. There is also the possibility that you uninstall Norton 360 but uninstalling it became incomplete because of interruption or you cancelled the operation.

When a program is already incomplete you will receive this error because it is no longer recognized by the computer. It is also not possible to have a compatibility problem if you have the latest version because the latest version of Norton 360 supports Windows 8. If you still have the installer, reinstall the application.

See if the program can still be uninstalled using the built-in uninstaller or using the Add or Remove Programs applet in the Control Panel. If you can’t uninstall it just run the Norton 360 installer to install it back. It should be back to normal once fully installed. If you are not using the latest, download the latest version from Norton 360 Trial Download.

It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8. It offers free 30 days trial period.
