Nokia USB driver for Win 7 does not connect.

I have a laptop with Windows 7 ( done all the updates it asks me to) and since the Bluetooth driver was not working correctly I tried to connect my Nokia N8 using a USB cable.

However it does not connect.

I have the latest Nokia USB driver for Win 7 installed but it still does not connect.

The window opens and then closes.

What is the solution?

Hello Arace,

  • On your computer, go to start, and then locate computer and click on it.
  • In the window that will open, refresh and see if the Nokia Phone will be listed among the available drives.
  • If it does not, the issue may be with the cable and therefore you will need to replace it.

Regards,

Carl

Hi Arace,

First make sure you have Nokia PC Suite installed on your computer. Then connect your phone with the help of a USB cable.

Then on the top, select the option Tools > Add new phone. You should see your device then.

If you don't have Nokia PC suite installed, you can alternatively install it from the link given.

Hope this helps!

Hi Dear,

I am going to you two methods to install your desired driver. It is not only the USB problem it is also about your phone.

Because when you will attach your phone with the laptop it will require phone's driver. So you have to do this.

First method is complicated but has 100% Result.

Go and install a small software called "Driver Identifier"

Attach your device or phone with computer and Run this software on your system.

This software will search and find the driver version and then automatically get you on that drivers download page.

You can easily download your driver and install. Internet Connection is required for this.

Thanks

If you want to connect your Nokia phone to your computer via USB cable and transfer contents between devices, you need to install the PC software for your phone. This setup will not work without the software because there’s no way for the system to identify and access your device. To connect and access your Nokia N8 to your computer, download Nokia PC Suite and install it.

It supports Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Once installed, connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable that came with it. Next, start the Nokia PC Suite and that’s it. With Nokia PC Suite, you can connect your computer to the internet with the help of your phone.

You can transfer your personal data like videos, pictures, and other files between your computer and your phone. You can also manage and synchronize your contacts and calendar entries.
