Thanks to Nokia for announcing its release this June in India on its new phone Nokia 808 PureView with its 41 megapixel camera sensor combined with Carl Zeiss Optics, is this going to be more potent in digital imaging than compact cameras?
NO! Â Phone camera are not replacements for normal compact cameras. Â The mega pixel would be good for a phone and whenever you need to shoot something you can because you always have your phone. Â But if you really want camera for good use you have to buy an compact one which you can accesorize it, change and adjust the lens depending on your needs. Nokia phones are great they had a lot of features last time I know some Nokia phones run on Syrian operating systems. The new 808 is a great phone pack with a 41 mega pixel camera. But that is a camera phone we can't substitute a point and shot the lens are different well is a good news for people that want a compact but better picture quality of the Nokia 808.
The Nokia 808 PureView is a discontinued 3G Smartphone operating on 2G and 3G network bands using GSM and HSPA technologies. It was unveiled to the public on February 2012 and released on June 2012 measuring 123.9 x 60.2 x 13.9 millimeters and weighing 169 grams. It uses micro-SIM card and has AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors at 360 x 640 pixels screen resolution.
It supports multi-touch protected with Corning Gorilla Glass with Nokia ClearBlack display. It runs on Nokia Belle OS powered by 1.3 GHz ARM 11 processor and Broadcom BCM2763 GPU. It supports microSD expandable up to 32 GB. It runs on 512 MB RAM with 1 GB ROM and 16 GB internal storage.
The primary camera supports 41 megapixels (38 megapixels effective) with f/2.4, 1/1.2″, and AF featuring Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash and supports 1080p video recording at 30 fps with 4x lossless digital zoom. The secondary camera supports VGA video recording at 30 fps.
