Recently I install NFS most wanted, after opening the game everything
is all right but no sound.
I see the settings but sound is given full.
Problem like this caused by two or three reasons as I know.
One is DirectX problem and another is sound card problem or may be the sound driver of the game is missing or corrupt it mostly happened when your game come with installation disk (not download from internet.
You can go to the help site of DirectX.
But if you verify and know that it is not caused by DirectX then your sound card setting might be incorrect or not properly given most of the time this sittings are given as INTERRUPT=220 DMA=1 IRQ=5 you can also check this from “start button > accessories > system tools > system information.
This could be a ripped version of the game.
A ripped version is where the sound file has been removed to reduce its size.
Do you have the required sound card that is needed by the game. You can check it in the games' system requirements in it's readme file. To check your sound card specification go to Start, click Run, type dxdiag.
The dxdiag should open up. Go to the Sound tab. This will list the information about your sound card.
You also need Directx 9.0 or more to play this game. You can also check this in the dxdiag
