No Audio Output Device Error

My computer does not detect my Creative Subwoofer Speakers.  It has no disk since you can plug it and play with your computer. I attached the cords properly according to the instructions. I searched on the Device Manager to check if my sound controller are configured and properly installed. The driver for Realtek High Definition Audio is installed. It is one of those software that is pre loaded when I bought my computer. But every time I am playing an .MP3 or a video with audio, an error is appearing, it says:

"No Audio Output Device is installed".

I tried testing the speakers to a different computer, and it works. I have been using this speakers for years now. My Operating System is Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 1. I am pretty sure I don't have any virus on my pc because  I don't see any errors on all the applications and software's installed on it.

My question is, What can be the problem is?

How can I know the version of my sound driver (Realtek)?

I still have an audio the last time I used my computer.  I even use it when I watch a movie on my media player. Will it help if I reinstall my operating system?

I provided screenshots of my device manager and the error itself.

Dear it looks like your Audio device is corrupted and that's why it is not working. Just go to your device manager again and see the both drivers details, now what to have to do is to DISABLE this device and then again ENABLE it by just right click and select disable and also enable it, now you have to check that both are working properly or not it will be the message which is showed on the driver status. E.g. in my case it shows a message such that:

If it is OK then follow these steps:

Go to start and then click on RUN. Now here you have to type DXDIAG it will open a new window under this window choose SOUND. Here you are to test your sound by clicking on TEST DIRECT SOUND. Now you have to select yes and this will check your sound.

If your problem is still there then you have to reinstall your sound drivers. Or you can also consult to hardware.
