Help!

This problem occurs when I use the computer just today. When I turn on the computer the error message came out.

Actually the applications and the programs of the system did not complete to load because of the existing problem.

And I can't understand the prompted error because I don't know how to fix problem regarding computers.

This is the error that came out

NI License Manager: nilmUtil.exe – Application Error

The instruction at "0x7c91aa01" referenced memory at '0x017c2258". The memory could not be "read".

Click on OK to terminate the program

Click on CANCEL to debug the program

What do you think is the cause of the error?

How did that happen? I only surf the internet and upload some images and files.

Can you find the solution of this error? Maybe you have an idea.

Thank You

Hi I'm Kattyrine

I have read about your problem and there is a specific reason. The memory allocation used by your application may have some corrupted and causes the application to crash. Solving this problem is very tricky, what you need to do here is trace the DLL's the program is calling and try to determine which one is causing the problem. Now that's a little too complicated to do so I can suggest you uninstall, do a disk cleanup and reinstall the program then try again, this is probably the simplest way to try and fix such error.

I hope this at least helped you in figuring out this problem.

Hi

The problem mainly occurs if you have got 99+ license files in the program’s license directory. The path should be: <National Instruments>SharedLicense ManagerLicenses

This problem can actually be directed to your physical memory or the memory modules installed on your motherboard. In my old Dell OptiPlex GX260 computer that runs on Windows XP, I get this error once in a while. In my case, the error appears when the computer is shutting down. This is probably because sometimes I don’t close applications when shutting down or restarting the CPU.

The error no longer appears the next time I start the computer. But in my case, I don’t see the error when I start a program. Try troubleshooting the problem. When the error appears, restart the computer then see if the error comes back. If this doesn’t work, shut down your computer then open the CPU case. Next, transfer the memory module to the other slot.

Try again then see if it works. If you have more than one memory module, remove all and leave only one on the slot. If this doesn’t work, transfer it to the other slot. Do this also on the other memory modules to see which module has the problem. Once you verify which memory module has the problem, don’t connect it back and try replacing it.
