Google Map is being upgraded and is even more powerful – offline mobile version of Google Map, 3D Enhancement to Google Earth. Now we are talking about points of interests such as gasoline stations, schools, restaurants embedded inside its database.

Will older tablet and mobile models be able to support this improved technology?

The next big thing for Google Maps

Dear David,
Google announced its offline maps for mobile. These maps will have improved 3D capabilities with street view cameras.  Users can select a section of map, Google Maps will indicate that how much data will be taken and then will automatically be downloaded to the device without Wi-Fi or 3G running. Google Maps is working on its 3D views, for that reason the images are being gone through a process called stereophotogrammetry to create textured meshes that let it render 3D photo-realistic scenes. Mobile phones with Android and iOS will be able to support this new technology.
