Hi there! These Lenovo Ultrabooks are still thinkpads.

The newest model, which is the 14 inch ultrabook is called the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, which the company claimed as the thinnest ultrabook in the whole world. It weighs 1800 grams and is just 18.8 mm thick.

It’s very thin and light but strong as well. This is because it is made of carbon fiber, a material known for its durability and strength despite being light weigh and thin.

This Ultrabook comes with a high definition display with Dolby home theater and a backlit keyboard.

This model uses Intel’s brand new Ivy Bridge processor.

Hi Charles,

Just to make it clear, Ultrabooks are not actually a brand name from Lenovo (or from any other laptop manufacturer for that matter). It is a new laptop category created by Intel.

Laptops meet the criteria if it has:

Less than 21 mm in thickness;

At least 5 hours of battery life;

3.0 USB capabilities;

Fast performance (especially with Intel’s 3rg generation processor Ivy Bridge).

A number of laptops have already passed this category. Some of them are: Dell XPS, Asus Zenbook, Toshiba Protégé and even Lenovo’s Thinkpad.

Hope this info helps.
