Apple's Retina display MacBook Pro is the newest exciting laptop in the market.
Why is Apple never going to offer laptops with blue ray drives but still sets the standards by which other manufacturers conform to or do a 360 degree turn?

For this concern, the reason why Blu ray drive is not in MacBook is because as Steeve Jobs said Blu ray will be a “bag of hurt”.
Apple doesn’t patronize Blu ray drive as they have their own application called the” ITunes”.
Adding Blu ray on MacBook's will add additional cost so better download movies to ITunes.
ITunes gives free movies & songs for your IPhones, IPods & MacBook's.
Apple also doesn’t want to tolerate making of Pirated CD’s which is very common around the world.
