I think you are not yet subscribed that’s why you are getting that error. You need to be a member first to get the Netscape Internet Service. To be a member, you need to sign up at Netscape Online Signup. Or you can also sign up through telephone by calling 1-866-NETSCAPE (638-7227).

If you are having a hard time reaching the website, try calling them by phone. If you are already a member, don’t sign up again. Repeat sign ups will only create multiple charges to your credit card. Next, click Download Netscape software. This version supports Windows 98, Windows Millennium, Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.

Run the installer afterwards to begin the installation. Just follow the instructions on the screen to choose a local phone number. It will be used to dial into the Netscape network. See image.

Next is to install Netscape Internet Service by entering your registered account username and password that were created when you sign up. See image.

And finally, connect the program to the internet. This is actually done automatically. Once the installation is complete, the software will start automatically. But if in case it doesn’t, just run the application from the Start menu. Connect it to the internet by clicking Connect. See image.
