I’m just wondering if someone can help me troubleshoot my restoration problem with my Netgear wireless router wgr614 v3. I unfortunately forgot my password, so I thought the best remedy would be to restore it to the original factory settings, which I did. But even if I’ve done so, it’s still asking me for a password, so what should I do? Somebody help me please.

Hi Miller, normally even if at its default or factory settings it would still require a password. The default password can be found on the side of the box along with its ip address. If ever you don't have the box try typing in admin for the password. Thank you.

Hello Miller,

Once you have forgotten the password, it means that you have changed the original one. For the record, you should write passwords on a paper or somewhere safe, so you don't lose them again.

Ok. So you have restored the router to the default settings. Now, all you have to do is go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://www.radmin.com/facebook/ipscanner.php . Login with the following:

Username: admin

Password: password

These are the default login details for the Netgear wireless router. They can also be found, on the back of the router.

I hope you will find this information useful.

Randolph
