Nero “multisession burning” error message

I’ve been using Nero to burn things. This message shows up whenever I try multisession burning. Exactly what can I do to avoid getting this again? Is it safe to click ‘yes’ after getting this message? I’d appreciate it if you guys helped me.

Nero Express
The disc you have inserted is not empty, but the writing mode of your compilation is 'Start multisession'
or 'No multisession'.
This will cause the information already on the disc to be inaccessible via Windows Explorer.
Should Nero proceed with writing to this disc?

Hi Ann,

You are encountering this message because you are trying to use multi session burn on a disc with a file already in it. If you click yes, you will make files already written into it inaccessible. The new files will replace the old files instead of adding it up on the disc.

If you want to use multisession burning, use it on a new disc and always use CHOOSE to CONTINUE THE MULTISESSION DISC when trying to add files in it. Also, make sure to enable the option Allow files to be added later in Nero Express if you are burning for the first time.

Hello Ann Tanner,

Nero multisession is used when you want to burn something now, and add another later allowing. Regarding your problem, you might have inserted a non-empty disc that may have files burnt on it without using multisession. This error message can be ignored safely. If you click "yes" and continue to burn, new input will only be accessible via Windows Explorer. Anything previous data burned on that disc will be replaced by the most recently burnt session. For this not to occur, use an empty disc for you to enable multisession task.

Hope the solution could help you.
