If your Nero 9 doesn’t do anything after opening it and will just suddenly close afterwards, it sounds like an incompatibility problem. Since you did not include in your post the version of the Windows you are currently using, I will post here the application’s supported operating systems and just verify if your platform is included. Nero 9 can be installed on a computer that is running on Windows XP Media Center 2005 Service Pack 2, Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Service Pack 3, Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or Service Pack 2, or Windows 7.
Check if your version of Nero 9 is a 32-bit or a 64-bit. If your version is a 32-bit, it should be installed on a 32-bit operating system and the same with 64-bit. If your Nero 9 is 64-bit, you should also install it on a 64-bit operating system. Check this part on your system so you can evaluate the cause and easily find the solution.
