Nero Burning Rom 7 gives error message trying to burn files

Hello All,

I tried burning files using DVD-Video mode on Nero Burning Rom 7.0.1.2 after successfully creating some backups with DVD Rebuilder and I get this error informing that the DVD-Video file reallocation failed and the DVD created might be unplayable. It also says one or more VOB files were not present in the folder. I thought I’ll try to burn anyway and clicked ‘yes’ to continue. I t gave me a warning of Nero’s compliance being ignored and burned the disk. Now here is a surprise- ‘The disk plays perfectly!!!’ Though, I never expected it to play. So what were all those grave warnings about? I cannot make any sense of them. Now I tried burning three more disks with these messages coming up in all the attempts. Still all the disks created were playable. If these are useless messages, is there a way to suppress them? Please share your ideas. I am eagerly waiting for methods to do away with them forever. Regards

DVD-Video files reallocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?

I think the only problem here is in the configuration of your Nero Burner. Remember, if this is your first time to burn DVDs or CDs and to use a CD burning software, try to familiarize yourself on the program’s settings and the effects of the configuration to the CD that will be burned. Because there are times the output of the burn is an unusable disc.

If Nero is throwing that error every time you process a CD, try experimenting on the settings and see the output. Normally, the error you see is caused by the settings. You just need to find out which is which so you can deactivate it. If you are getting annoyed of the error though the output disc is fine, you can shift to another CD burner application.

Try downloading and installing Alcohol 120%. It is very similar to Nero and it can also backup and burn DVDs but the only limitation is that DVD titles that are CSS protected can’t be backed up. One advantage of using Alcohol 120% that is not available in Nero is virtual drive.

With Alcohol 120%, you can add virtual drives on your computer in addition to your computer’s physical DVD drive. With virtual drives on your computer, you can mount any CD or DVD images just like a normal optical drive.
