Need motherboard for i7 4790k
If you are talking about the Intel Core i7-4790k, first you'll want to make sure you get a motherboard that is compatible. I found a list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/motherboard/?compatible_with=intel-cpu-bx80646i74790k
Among those, here are the ones that are most recommended for the things you want to do:
1. Asus Maximus VII Hero – reviews say that it is very simple to install. It also saves energy and it boosts speed automatically, thanks to dual intelligent processors. Also, it supports low voltage RAM. Also, since you're using it for games, it comes with software called GameFirst III, which helps the game run flawlessly with no delays. You can find more information here: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Asus+MAXIMUS+VII+HERO+ATX+LGA1150+Motherboard&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3AAsus+MAXIMUS+VII+HERO+ATX+LGA1150+Motherboard
2. Gigabyte GA-Z97X Gaming GT – installation is easy for beginning builders; it comes with easy-to-follow instructions. It supports Sound Blaster X-Fi MB3. It seems to be specifically for gamers, however? Here is the link for it: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GA-Z97X-GAMING-GT-Networking-Motherboard/dp/B00JKCHEOY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
3. MSI Z97 Gaming 5 – I found a video reviews for it here that seems to be helping people decide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9SXmRbU45w
Looking at a number of sites, however, the Maximus VII seems to be the overall winner.
