Need info on Verizon LTE Android phones

My question is can I switch to Verizon and get a new Android phone whenever I want?

I currently have this iPhone 3G but I really want to switch to Android phone.

I no longer like the iPhone from AT&T. Is it possible to get now the fascinating Android X?

Does it make sense or I shall wait until early 2011 to see the new dual core/LTE phones?

How long before dual core/LTE Android phones come from Verizon?

Verizon's Droid X is already available in the market but here are some tips before you switch from ATT iPhone. First of all, you need to consider if you would like to change your phone number and notify family, relatives or friends about it but there is an option to "port" (the process wherein you can still keep current phone number given that it is available or privilege you would have with them) your phone number.

You also need to make a back up files on your iPhone so that you can still keep applications you would like to retain and transfer to your new phone.

Last but not the least, make sure that your contract is finished unless you are willing to pay for a certain termination fee and also be aware not to disconnect the service until you are done switching or else you don't have any contact number.

You may want to contact Verizon Wireless for their latest offer and the dates when they would launch their newest model on Android phones.
