Hi, umm I've been using AVG free edition for a long time now, but I think I'll switch to something else. I have two choices, Kaspersky and panda cloud antivirus. Which one I should go for? Any idea guys?

Funny that I used all of them. AVG does the job fairly but I somehow don't like it! I have used Kaspersky for a long time and I still do. According to me (and many others) this is the best anti-virus out there. Panda is good and very resource-friendly as well. But you should go for Kaspersky I guess! Cheers!

Yes I'd recommend Kaspersky as well though the free version of panda is very good (Haven't used the paid one! LOL) In recent years though, kaspersky is failing to maintain the standards they used to provide. Well this is my opinion (and well judged one) and you can choose any one of these really!

Well if panda is not up to the mark and kaspersky is not doing as good as their early days than what options do I have? Please suggest me as the two I posted about are not my final two choices and if there is something better I will opt for that. So please tell me what is your recommendation?

I'd suggest you go with Nod32 antivirus. It's one of the best out there. It has very small footprint, fast, highly customizable, perfect for gamers! It has basic and advanced interfaces to suit the user level. It is really good at what it is supposed to do, protecting you from viruses. Do a bit of research and you will know!

I like that. Thanks!

If you want to go with the free ones, you should follow the following rank and do some research and choose the best one for you.

  1. Avast
  2. Avira
  3. Microsoft Security Essentials (Not recommended, resource hog and it's MICROSOFT)
  4. Panda Cloud Anti virus (Thumbs Up)
  5. COMODO (Not recommended, personal bad experience)

If you want to go with PAID ones,

  1. NORTON (not recommended, resource hog)
  2. GData (Don't know about this one, could be good.)
  3. BitDiffender (Thumbs up)
  4. ESET nod32 (Personal choice)
