Currently Dicter (current version 3.32) only supports windows platform (Windows XP/Vista/7). I need your help for alternate software like Dicter, which can support Mac machines.

I would recommend you to use an Apple Dashboard Widget: Language Translator.
It's a freeware widget and is supported on Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
It can translates between 41 different languages.

Dicter is a nice translator software for Windows. Though it is made for Windows, you can run it on your Mac using Wine. Get it from here.
Also, I would like to suggest you to use “Translation Service”. This is like Dicter and also, built for Mac. You can select a special area of your text and translate it into other language.
Also, you can use Google Translator. It is an online translator but powerful and fast.
