Need help to add another mailbox to the Microsoft Outlook folder

Hello Tech savvy,

I am new to this computer world; the problem is when I try to add another mailbox to the Microsoft Outlook folder list I ended up with an error message. I do not have much knowledge about this so finding very difficult to handle this simple error. Please help me people to fix the problem. Thanks a lot.

Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. The information store could not be opened.

This error is appearing in your case because your Outlook isn’t configured to enable “Folder Visible” option. Turn on the “Folder Visible” option for the mailbox containing the folder you want to share.

To do so, follow these steps:

  1. On your PC, right-click “Mailbox”.
  2. Select “Properties” in the “Folders list”.
  3. Open “Permissions” tab.
  4. Check the box saying “Folder visible” in “Permissions” area.
  5. Click “OK”.

Now, your error should disappear forever.
